Taco Bell is adding new menu items that fans may not have to do with the taco chain-and it’s only available for a week.
This is not a drill or a joke. The fast food chain officially added Crispy Chicken Wings to their menu on Thursday, so we are truly ringing in the new year. The wings, which come five to an order for $5.99, are coated in a Mexican queso seasoning and served alongside a zesty ranch dipping sauce. And of course, they are all crisped up to perfection.
Here’s the thing though. This sought-after menu addition will not be available for long. It’s a limited-time offer, and the wings will be gone on January 12th. That just means you better get to ordering them for lunch and dinner everyday until then.
Fast food restaurants have been adding crispy chicken wings for a limited time in US locations since January 6th. According to Taco Bell, each order includes five bone-in wings coated with keso seasoning and served with a spicy lunch dip sauce. Sold only after 2pm and priced at $ 5.99.
“Taco Bell isn’t a stranger to pick a familiar favorite and give it a unique spin (Nacho Fly, who ?!) and Tsubasa is the latest creation from the mastermind of the test kitchen,” Chain said on a rare menu. Said about the addition of.
Chicken wings have been on the fast food menu for years (remember McDonald’s Mighty Wing?), But have become even more popular lately as people crave for comfortable food during the pandemic. Chili’s parent companies, Brinker International, Applebee’s, and even DJ Khaled are expanding their chicken wings offerings.
And Taco Bell is also ringing in the new year right in a few other ways. Yesterday, the chain launched the Taco Pass, which allows subscribers to get a free taco every day for 30 days. The pass costs $10, so it’s a pretty sweet deal. They are also adding a few other hot choices to their menu. Anyone in the mood for a Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa, a Beefy Melt Burrito, or a Fiesta Veggie Burrito?
Peter Saleh, a restaurant analyst at BTIG, previously told CNN Business that chicken wings are ideal for delivering and feeding to groups of people. “It retains that fever. It’s more collaborative because you can buy it to feed a family or multiple people,” he said.
Taco Bell described the menu item in a news release reported by Source as “five, bone-in Crispy Chicken Wings, coated in flavorful Mexican Queso seasoning, crisped to perfection and served along with our signature spicy ranch dipping sauce.”
Also new to the menu and available for a limited time is a Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa, Beefy Melt Burrito, Fiesta Veggie Burrito and two Island Berry Freezes: Wild Strawberry or Blue Raspberry.
Taco Bell lovers have had to deal with the restaurant removing some favorite menu items, but this year marked the return of the Cheese Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco.
Another favorite is rumored to be on the way back. The Foodbeast website, which snagged an order of the wings when they were tested last year, expects Taco Bell to return to the menu its Mexican Pizza, which was removed more than a year ago.
This addition may enhance the spirit of Taco Bell fans. They aren’t excited about the chain reducing the menu. Last year, I dropped a lot of items such as Mexican pizza, pico de gallo, and shredded chicken.
So now that I’m starving from writing all about this food, I’m going to go download the Taco Bell app, and get to ordering the Crispy Chicken Wings while they’re still around. Bye!
