Prince Harry is a big Nando’s fan but his order will surprise fans of the famous Portugese Peri Peri chicken.
The Prince has become partial to a cheeky Nando’s over the years and although now that he lives in California he’s not got as much of a chance to eat at the famed chicken joint.
Both Harry and his brother Prince William are known to love everyone’s favourite peri-peri chicken chain and have even been spotted inside some of their restaurants.
Harry was introduced to the South African chain a few years back by his personal protection officer, while William has blamed his for picking up his many Nando’s orders.
But it seems both royals can’t handle the heat.
Kate Middleton has previously stated her favourite takeaway is a curry but stated William doesn’t like spicy food – and this appears to be the same for his younger brother.
Back in 2013, Harry was spotted by a stunned onlooker in a ‘surreal’ late night visit to a London Nando’s restaurant.
There are only 43 Nando’s in the USA and none within 100 miles of the luxury mansion Harry shares with his family.
Harry has however been seen ordering off the menu at the famed chicken chain in the past.
Unfortunately his order isn’t exactly going to set the heather alight, as we say in Scotland.
In fact, it probably wouldn’t even make it smoke.
During the midnight stop off for food at the Fulham Broadway restaurant, Harry forked out £24.05 on his takeaway dinner for himself and a friend.
Harry was seen fidgeting with his mobile phone and making animated hand gestures to his mate as the pair patiently waiting for their food at 11.50pm.
Two members of the Prince’s personal security sat behind him while he killed time during the 15 minute wait for his grub.
A stunned onlooker described it as a “surreal” moment as they watched Harry sat on a bench inside the Nando’s branch.
“It was surreal. He was very charming and politely refused a member of staff who approached him for a picture. I was gobsmacked to see him,” they said.
Another witness added: “Moments after he left the restaurant clutching his dinner in a paper bag a member of staff jumped on the bench the Harry was sitting on and shouted: “I’m on the Prince’s throne!’ Nobody could believe what happened.”
However, Harry’s order has caused some controversy.
Despite Nando’s being proud of its fiery sauces, Harry appears to be a fan of the more subtle or should be say blander flavours on offer.
In 2013, a customer at Nando’s Fulham Broadway restaurant in London watched as Harry sent £24.05 on a takeaway dinner for himself and a pal.
Harry and his mate popped in around 11.50pm while two members of his personal security sat behind him during the 15-minute wait, reports the Source.
Harry’s order was a bit unusual to fan of the Peri Peri flavour.
He ordered a chicken pitta with extra cheese – in just lemon and herb – the mildest flavour on offer.
Harry, like William doesn’t like his food too spicy.
He also got a side of creamy mash along with a double chicken wrap with chips as well as a soft drink and a bottle of water.
