Cardiff Bus has increased its services across its network from 21st March, and as a result, has increased frequency to Cardiff and Barry mass vaccination centres in a bid to provide access to as many people as possible.
For the Bayside Mass Vaccination Centre services 9, 13, and X45 will stop on Olympian Way, on the opposite side of the road to the centre.
Service 9 will run every 20 minutes Monday to Friday, and every 30 minutes Saturdays & Sundays. Service 13 will run every hour to the Sports Village Monday to Friday. Service X45 will run on a half hourly basis Monday to Friday. These services operate across the city, offering a convenient and direct link from areas in the west, north and east of Cardiff.
Bayside Mass Vaccination Centre – Routes 9, 13 & X45
Services 9, 13 & X45 stop on Olympian Way, on the opposite side of the road to the centre which is based on the old Toys R Us site.
Service 9 runs every 20 minutes Monday – Friday and every 30 minutes Saturdays & Sundays. This route travels via UHW Heath Hospital, Whitchurch Road, City Road, the city centre, Clare Road, Penarth Road, Clive Street, Ferry Road, International Drive and Olympian Way.
Service 13 runs every hour to the Sports Village Monday – Friday. This route runs via Drope, Ely, Canton, the city centre, Bute Street and Cardiff Bay before arriving in the Sports Village.
Service X45 runs on a half hourly basis Monday – Friday. This route travels via St Mellons, Newport Road, the city centre, Clare Road, Corporation Road, Avondale Road, Ferry Road, International Drive and Olympian Way.
Cardiff and Vale Therapy Centre, Splott – Routes 1, 2 & 11
Service 11 stops on Splott Road near the Therapy Centre. Buses run every 12 minutes Monday – Friday, every 15 minutes on Saturdays and every 20 minutes on Sundays.
Services 1 & 2 also stop nearby on Habershon Street and run every 30 minutes Monday – Friday and on an hourly basis on Saturdays. Services 1 and 2 operate around most of the city so there may not need to be a change of bus.
Pentwyn Leisure Centre, Pentwyn – Routes 51, 53, 57 & 58
Service 58 runs every 15 minutes Monday – Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays and stops outside Pentwyn Leisure Centre on Bryn Celyn Road.
Service 57 stops nearby on Glyn Coed Road and is a short walk to the Leisure Centre and operates every 15 minutes Monday – Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays. Combined with route 58, there is a bus every 6-7 minutes for much of the daytime.
Services 51 & 53 also run Mondays – Saturdays and stop nearby on Pentwyn Drive.
Holm View Leisure Centre, Barry – Routes 95, 97 & 97A
Services 97 & 97A run on a half hourly basis and stop at Pendine Close on Skomer Road which is a 1-2 minute walk to Holm View Leisure Centre.

Customers should not travel to a vaccination centre without an appointment and are reminded that face coverings are mandatory on buses and should cover your nose and mouth for the whole journey. Unless exempt, customers must always wear a face covering whilst travelling.
